In a flight in an Airbus A321 by inbuilds on January 17th 2025 from Baltimore to Heathrow, My connection to the VATSIM network was terminated by a supervisor.
The mistakes I made was my fault due to a misunderstanding of the VATSIM Code of conduct (Can be found at this link: https://vatsim.net/docs/policy/code-of-conduct).
The VATSIM supervisor did everything correctly in accordance of there rules.
I was accused of violating 2 rules:
A15 - While connected to VATSIM, and when requested to do so, members shall respond to messages from, and comply with all instructions issued by VATSIM Administrators and/or VATSIM Supervisors. This one, although I was accused of it, the supervisor reached back out to me after I believed I had followed it saying essentially that it was an automated response. It is currently my understanding that she cleared me of violating this rule.
B6 - No flight may declare itself to have priority over another. Pilots are permitted to declare in-flight emergencies only when under air traffic control. If, for any reason, air traffic control requests the pilot to terminate the emergency, then the pilot must do so IMMEDIATELY or disconnect from the network. Pilots are not permitted to simulate any unlawful act including, but not limited to, declaring a hijack by any method, including entering a transponder code of 7500.
The following is the incident as I reported to VATSIM that constituted such action:
"I returned from doing a few bits of school work on a flight from Baltimore to London Heathrow. I noticed we were losing altitude. Then I proceeded to notice that we had no thrust. At that point in time I announced "mayday mayday mayday. We have lost trust in both engines."
After some troubleshooting including adding more fuel through MSFS2024 and trying to restart the engines, and failing, that is the point in which I decided to put in squawk 7700 (unaware of the fact that we should not put that in if we are not under ATC).
I initially decided to divert to Boston, decided that I was unable to make that, then I crash landed about 400 ft from the end of runway 27 at Beverly."
VATSIM Logo is unchanged and undistorted in accordance to there rules To be found at after downloading there logos for public use.
As many are now aware, there is now a lawsuit against PayPal; the parent company of Honey due to the alleged scam that Honey ran. A few things some to mind relating to the alleged scam. A, Just one more reason I absolutely hate PayPal. B, I support the lawsuit in full and I believe that honey absolutely owes at least millions of dollars to creators. C, even if a creator vetted honey and refused to work with them, they are still an absolute victim of honeys potential crimes because of the amount of devices Honey was put on. Honey sucks and please uninstall it. I also put forward my voice for companies like Amazon and Etsy to immediately terminate Honey's affiliate programs and drive them into the ground once and for all. Go watch MegaLag's vid on it here for more information: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vc4yL3YTwWk&pp=ygUHbWVnYWxhZw%3D%3D
Although I was not alive for much of his work, it has become evident in studding history that he was arguably one of (if not the most) ethical US presidents in history, despite his disapproval as US president. However, his work for Habitat for Humanity completely defines the man he was. He was a legend and will be greatly missed. If anyone deserved to live to the triple digit age, it was him. And he did.
